Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

*Yes, carp. And don't you forget it :)
Excellent range report Winmag. I would like to shoot one sometime. Have you thought about the TFO-tru glow type sights for it instead of a red-dot or holo?
Well, if a used one is ever at my indoor range/store they will let you ‘test drive’ it. I’ve done that several times.
EGE - oh boy, pimp the ride time. Accessories can run the cost up pretty fast, as you have probably found out. Concur with winmag, 4 power or less, I’d opt for the less part, 2 1/2 but 4 is probably easier to find cheaper. Harris appear to be the bipod of choice but are pricey. I like the Tapco collapseable stock, although I haven’t seen one or tried one on an SKS. You probably know the websites to check out but milsurp is a good message board and I think they have an sks forum. Lots of good info but as always, your mileage may vary.
So did you end up deciding to take the shuttle, or is ecurbh getting up at 0 dark thirty to take you? ;-)
I’m taking the shuttle so he can go back to bed for awhile. They’re picking me up here at 3:25.
Ungh...that’s awful early. Should get you there with a decent amount of time to spare, though, which is good!
I have to get up sort of early to reboot servers...but not that early, thankfully.
I still don’t wanna.
What time do you get into Tulsa, or wherever the airport is?
Gadzooks. That’s early.
Good evening...
Have a fun trip!
I have a plane change in Dallas... I arrive in Tulsa around 4 something I think ;~)
The shuttle drops me at 5:25 for a 6:50 flight, so it’s not loads of time. It’s just a lot of time driving around picking up other people.
Hey mister GeeEye... sorry but in case you get any grief from the mods... as I was moving around this page I fat-fingered the mouse and accidently hit “report abuse” on your post. I think I canceled it, but just in case...
:-)
Nothing personal, really...
That's the part that drives me nuts. Half of them will not be ready and will still be packing when the van shows up.
Hair: Have a great trip - OB & LSA
Launching into -
Oklahoma,
where the wind comes whipping off the plain
And the waving wheat,
can sure smell sweet,
when the wind comes right behind the rain....
I first read this as "can sure smell sweat" ;~)
I hope I can at least get out and smoke while we wait.
:)
LOL, well, never heard that line but..
Good luck on the smoke breaks, hope you’re not stuck in a first in last out seating pattern.
Yeah, we had two like that. And then even when they *were* ready, one of ‘em had to say long goodbyes to family before getting in.
We still made pretty good time, though.
The driver of the shuttle I took was a smoker, so she’d sympathise...
I don’t think we had any really long waits, though, if I’m really honest. Just seems that way when you’re sitting there.
Izzit November yet?
I’ll settle for Friday.
Heh...I’ll second that.
Wednesday is my birthday, though. Not that that’ll mean much. But I guess I shouldn’t skip it.
On the other hand...
