So have you taken those pictures of Bay’s feet yet? I’m interested in seeing what the farrier did this time.

Here's Bay's left foot ~after~ the trim, before setting the shoe.

Here it is with the shoe on.

I wish I was skilled enough to overlay one photo on the other in Photoshop. It looked like he was setting the shoe in the middle of Bay's foot, you can see it's right at the tip of the frog, and he rasped off a whole lot of toe.

Bay seems perfectly fine on it! I was just rather taken aback. He's been making I thought pretty subtle adjustments in his trims, and complaining that he wasn't making any progress, and I think he just decided to ~move~ it along.

It just got me wondering. He keeps trying to correct Bay's shape, and Bay's foot keeps reverting back to what it was before by the next trim. I wondered if maybe his foot just is the shape it wants to be, and maybe that's not a NB shape.

Cyn's foot, it seems to me, is a naturally NB shape. Is that just better genetics, or could Bay's be that shape if his trims were really correct?

Her foot (before trim, and due... I took this one last week)
