I came this > < close to hosing down the rest of him, he's so filthy, but compassion prevailed, it's pretty chilly out. At least he has a clean tail and clean feet.
I set up feral cat quarters out in the barn, to see if they'll set up residence in there if I start feeding them out there. It's at least dry for em', and out of the wind for winter. They may be sleeping under the house now, which is OK too, but we'll see. I do see them wander into the barn at night.
I always try to keep the original boxes for electronics like TVs and monitors. It's a pain, but when you move, it's nice to have the original boxes with the fitted styrofoam to move them in. Giant hassle to keep a huge box around for 6 years just to make moving day easier, but so far I have. It's up on top of the tool cabinet in the barn. Anyhow, I decided the cats can use it. I turned it on it's side and then stuck my little dogloo in it with soft bedding inside.
The hay is stored behind there and I think they can learn to climb up there on the hay... and might feel safe well out of the reach of the dogs.
I'm going to start putting food up there and see if they find it.
The kitties should like that box:)
Did you have any problems with drainage under the shed since you shoveled all that out?

Heh, good luck on getting the kitties to use the box. I set up something similar for my barn kitties and they wouldn’t have anything to do with it. They prefer to sleep up on top of the hay where they can see everything around them and can get up in the rafters in the blink of an eye if they need to. I guess what looks cozy to us looks like a trap to a cat.
