That was supposed to be to me. It was neither I guess. Someone sent me 18 pages of political stuff.

LOL - I have to go through pages also to find the Saddle Club. Between politics, China, Medical and Gods & Glyphs, I get lost. Good morning everyone.

If it’s too far down you can go to the home page and click on. It just opens to all of them though.

I still am in the dark. Why are you asking me? I didn’t send you anything; much less 18 pages of political stuff.

It wasn’t supposed to have been sent to you. I intended to send it to myself. Someone else sent me a bunch of stuff thru private mail. It’s hard to see if anyone on here, when people do that, so I put a saddle club post above it to find. Sorry.

Don’t worry one little bit. I am computer illiterate; as if you couldn’t guess. See, I didn’t even know what you were talking about. LOL

OMG, what beautiful animals.............An American Mother has some gorgeous competition level labs, too!! When I was growing up, our neighbor, an avid bird hunter, had a black lab and a golden lab, "Ginger" & "Grette". I would be out in our pasture, grooming, riding, messing with my horses, etc. and he would be out in his field next door, training them. He'd toss birds (probably dead ones) wrapped with barbed wire, to keep their mouths soft when retrieving, I guess, send them out and call them back..........over and over and over again. Those dogs were awesome!!

When I tried to send my little ones out after tennis balls, sticks, etc, I had grand visions of "Smitty" (his nickname) from my youth, and Ginger and Grette. I think I put the bar a bit too high for mine, but we love them just the same..........."Deyz good at whut they do.......nuthin" haha

Ha! 7 years ago I was still trying to figure out how the things turned on. I couldn’t believe I was the only one that wasn’t upset about what the Dems were doing. I was watching Drudge and he was talking about FR. The rest is history. The saddle club just makes it a little more special:’)

There are some really good help classes here on FR. I do some at home work for a research company. When I filled out my application I was asked on a scale of 1-10 what I felt like my computer skills were. I said 7. I was telling my husband and he said “you really told them that?” and laughed.:’( That’s ok. I muddle thru and get the job done.

LOL. Before I retired; it was easy at work. All I had to do is go right to the next office and say “Frank, help me”.

I love it. Those labs are a sight to behold and I have seen An American Mother’s labs in pic and they are awesome and a really interesting history.

One of the most fascinating shows I have ever seen are the bench trials. A dog has to get on a slim bench and balance on it. Amazing.

Watch for Angus. I have told my friend since he was a pup; he is going to Westminster. I believe his Aunt is now top mastiff. She also told me that you might catch a glimpse of him on Animal Planet in the Houston show.

Handsome Thunder Here's a pic of one of mine. They are Shiloh Shepherds. This is my boy, Thunder. He will be in his first show at the end of this month and I am so nervous. The girls are already champions.

Angus and Barbie Here's a pic of Angus in competition with his littermate, Barbie. I am constantly amazed how much larger the males mastiffs are than the females.

"I was reading your explanation of how you decided to move and was struck at how similar our situations were."

That's funny!!.........they really ARE similar. Did you move from IL, also?? We had looked around Aiken (also Augusta, as my husband has a daughter who lives near Atlanta) and loved everywhere we looked. In the end, we just threw a dart on a board, basically, and paid what we thought was the best price for what we got. No regrets either..............even though we're not moved yet, but going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth (as nauseam, sometimes....) it gets harder and harder to go back to IL..........we don't want to leave the house here for sale and empty, so we're giving it time. And the house in NC isn't quite ready yet.......but my horse is down there and I really miss him. But he's in good hands!

A dog has to get on a slim bench and balance on it. Amazing.

The agility dogs wind up doing that too . . .

I love Shelley's wild-eyed look in the last one -- she has to pause at the end of the dog walk and wait for my signal to continue . . . " . . . gonna blow . . . about to blow . . . "

Those sure are good looking dogs.

I never cared for mastiffs, particularly (probably just lack of exposure!) but those are beautiful examples of the breed.

And I really like your Shiloh Shepherds. Who knows, we might wind up with one some day. (Do any of them retrieve? LOL. Although lots of folks in the hunting retriever club have terriers and frou frou dogs that tag along, why not a shepherd?)

I knew you would be here. LOL I love your dogs.

Yes, some of the dogs have to actually stand on their toes.

Thanks

LOL

All I know right now is one of my girls catches a ball 24/7 if you let her and the other one can catch a squirrl midair. Thunder, well, he just likes the girls. That’s a man for ya. Shilohs are herding dogs; but not quite as bad as my cattle dog. I do know of two standard poodles that do very well in the retriever club.

I am really nervous because Thunder is showing for the first time at the end of this month. Wish us luck. They may not let me go because he keys off of me so much or I may have to hide during the show.
