Good Morning everyone!

My you gals were chatty while I was gone. I need to try to get on here more often! Work has a pretty strict internet policy, and around here I'm always afraid of being lynched for being caught on a conservative website. That's just kind of How it Is around here...

Had to take notes this morning!
Duchess, I'm still praying for Lori. I can't believe that she did a 30 mile ride while on dialysis! What an amazing person! Also, here's a website to Cirque Dreams here It is and isn't like Cirque Du Soleil, and it isn't by the same people, so I don't know how they get away with using a similar name. The show that I saw was called "Jungle Fantasy". The people were amazingly talented, and it was very PG-13. There were some small children in the audience, so it's for kids and adults alike. However, in the lighting it looked like they had virtually PAINTED their body suits on, and the muscles on the men! Rwar! Made me want to take one home with me! ;0)

Becky, let us know how it turns out with Harley. I've never had a horse get a bone bruise.

Hair, I'm glad that you're weathering your weather ok!

I suspect you also would handle things fine.

Good Morning everyone.

It sure was quiet yesterday. Is everyone all right?

Yeah, I’m fine. Just had a busy day yesterday dealing with this and that. We had a big deadline Friday and I guess we’re still all laying around recovering from that.

Hey there AAM, good to here from you.

Things have been especially busy at work for me too. I have three days of administrative training up at company headquarters for a new data management system that we're putting in place. Yesterday, I also found out that I've been given a new set of responsibilities involving HPLC, and some of the other people are NOT happy about it. I'm not quite sure what to do about it, because things have gotten very uncomfortable.

Take it easy, be quietly friendly, don't do anything drastic, and see if things don't settle down. After all, you didn't choose to get the assignment.

I simply loathe personnel conflicts . . . we have them too from time to time.

Isn't it terrible? I'm terrible at them. I'm the type of person who will duck down and lay low. I just want to do my job... nothing more, nothing less. I also refuse to get caught up in workplace gossip.

I think sayin' nothin' and layin' low, like Tar-Baby and Br'er Fox, is the best thing in the long run. Ninety-nine percent of this stuff blows over if you just leave it alone.

I've got a quiet day coming up today - just hopefully get some work done (and get some rest!)

I’m alright, just busy yesterday with work.

Keep your head down... let them be the ones who exhibit any bad behavior. :~)

I’m fine too, but I had nothing of any real substance to say either.

But I am going to try something on Friday night that I haven’t done in a long time....ride in a Christmas Parade. My riding buddy Kari and her husband and several others have been doing them and have been having a grand ol’ time.

The first one was last Thursday night and I just couldn’t make it in time. The rest were during the day on Saturday and I didn’t want to give up my regular trail riding day. But since this one is on a Friday night I decided to go for it. I’ll probably ride Grace, since she’s very calm and reasonable, plus she’s barefoot, so that’ll be safer on pavement, although Kari has been doing fine with shoes on her champaigne mare.

She said they were a little nervous at first around all the bands and floats and Fire Trucks but seemed to adapt to all the commotion fairly quickly. That always seemed to be the case when I rode Tennessee in parades with Inge_Cav years ago, so I don’t really expect any different from Grace. I’ll have to get my parade outfit all together again and round up my battery powered lights, Santa hats and bows, but it should be fun. I’m taking off a half a day on Friday to make sure I have plenty of time to get everything ready and get up there and not be rushed. I HATE feeling rushed!

Parades can be fun. I rode in some years ago...don’t have the courage anymore tho. The last few I rode got pretty hairy towards the end:)
BTW...you have FM.

I think it helps if you have a group of sane people to ride in them with. ;o) Hopefully that’ll be the case anyways.

The first few I rode in I was with sane people, I think that’s why it was fun. Then we joined the round up club and rode with them, and some in the group weren’t sane:)...At the end they always seemed to want to run back to were the trailers were parked, usually because it was summer and by the end we were all so hot.

But a herd of horses running on asphalt roads didn’t help those of us who wanted to walk back to the trailers.

Yeah, Yahoos like that usually leave their brain at home when it comes to safety, theirs or anybody else’s. And you’re lucky if they’re not drunk to boot.

LOL! At least then you would’ve been limber enough to have bounced when you hit the ground. ;o)

Hey Frog!

HPLC stands for High Pressure Liquid Chromatography or High Performance Liquid Chromatography. (If you're buying a column, it stands for High Price Liquid Chromatography... it's expensive to maintain!) It's an instrument and analytical method that allows you to separate, qualify, purify and or/ quantify compounds that you want analyzed. I won't go into the heavy details... heads may explode. ;-)

Good Morning everyone!

Frog, good luck with the parade. I would do something like that depending on the horse.

Becky, how is Harley doing?
