I’ll have to wait ‘til I get home to watch the videos. The ComputerNazis block all streaming media here.
Oh, OK. I just want to make sure I’m not just seeing what I’m hoping to see:)
He’s really getting tired of being in that run...He’s actually learned how to open the gate that lets him out into the alley way. He plays with the chain till it opens. He’s done it 3 times now. I have a snap on it now. Don’t want him in the feed. Luckily I’ve always caught him right when he’s done it.

The only one I saw head bobbing on that was obvious is the first one in the sequence, third on your list.... 1833. So it’s useful, maybe that he starts out worse and appears to warm out of it. ???
Is there anything visible to see on his leg now? I’d be curious to know what it looks like.
Good morning. Glad to hear you survived the wind Hair. I’ll have to watch the videos of Harley later on a different computer. Followed the link to the Horse Forum. IMO Parelli ought to be outlawed - how’s that for old fashioned and hard hearted?
There still is a tiny bump on the inside of his leg. From my understanding of shin splints it will always be there. I don’t think you could see it in a picture...he’s grown a lot of hair that covers it up. But I can feel it.
On that 1833, I almost felt like he stepped on something, a rock, and gimped for a few steps then got better.
Becky
OK - so do you think you’ll rest him just a little longer? Or try a short ride? If you push it does the splint get warm or swell?
Good morning... survived just fine and never went and sat in the truck. I just wasn’t in the mood. Little branches everywhere though, and I just got done raking the last of the leaves and branches up on Sunday. :~\
I think I’m going to let him rest some more...the rest of this week.
The vet said no forced exercise while he is still sore. According to her, he won’t push himself more then he should, especially in a small area. Exercise will irritate the tendons around the splint. Once the splint is “cold” then that won’t happen.
Rest and time is the only thing that gets them over a splint. I am going to lunge him again later to see if it sored up again from this morning’s exercise, altho, I didn’t lunge him much more then what I filmed.

That sounds good... :~)
Does snapfish or photobucket pictures work on the HF.
My old hosting sight shut down, so I’ve lost all those pictures. I’ve loaded the flexing pictures on both but can’t remember if any of them work over there.
Becky
photobucket works, snapfish doesn’t.
If you copy the image code from the little cheater fields in photobucket, change the uppercase IMG to lower case img. Uppercase doesn’t work on that forum.
LOL!!! Smart little bugger he is! You know what they say...idle hooves are the Devil's workshop. ;o)
LOL!! Now I wouldn't go THAT far, but it's pretty close. It's a shame that people have taken something that's basically good at it's core and misused it to such an extent that it's turned into a bad thing.
I agree...Parelli isn’t really all that different then others, but I think how he comes across is what gives people the wrong impression on what he is saying...playing games...that’s just not a good way to put it.
Becky
I think someone like you could take Parelli games and make them useful.... Tiff too, went to some sessions with a local Parelli trainer and said it was neat.
But someone like that Parelli Cowgirl, turns the games into all they do with the horse. She just came back after a long absence, she hasn’t posted in months. She’s been working that horse for YEARS now on the ground. She announced that lately she has a brand new Parelli trainer, is working on level 2 (??) is doing a lot better riding but isn’t yet cantering. She’s just NOT making progress. Maybe it’s just her, and a bolder rider would make progress anyway, with or without Parelli, but it seems like Parelli and timid are not a good mix. They never get to ride.
Julia and I had a nice ride. Only about an hour, that’s just really all I felt like, but it was nice to get out in the woods.
When we came back in, Harley started running and bucking and rearing, and generally throwing a good fit...not sure that is good, but I’m going to lunge him later, and if he’s fine, I’d say he is OK, and may ride him on Thurs.
Becky
LOL!! Poor guy, he was saying “Let me outta this pen!!”
If he didn’t make himself sore with that little display, it sounds like he may be about ready to go.
I got a call with an update on Lori. She’s developed a serious infection and has an open abdomen being flushed twice a day. The prognosis is not good at this point. I’m still praying for a miracle - God give her doctors wisdom and knowledge and ability to help her.
