Look at that face!
There's only a few weeks fall and spring where I worry about taking blankets off and on. During the real winter I just leave them on except for the occasional 'go naked' day.
LOL....what a goofy dog:) He is a good boy tho.
Becky
So who are you taking to the ride on Sat?
That would be interesting to use a grinder. Are they use to clippers?
Becky
Oh, and I’m glad you are getting rain, altho, I imagine it’s a little late to help the hay situation there.
Becky
I thought about blanketing mine last night. It was cold and raining with a biting wind. When I let them in the barn to feed they were all shivering, but as soon as they got some hay in them, they stopped. I don’t have a roll of hay out yet but I threw about a bale into the ring and left the barn open though so they could get in out of the rain and that’s where I found them this morning, all nice and dry. I put the muzzels back on Bob and Hope and left it open for the day today since it was still raining. I just don’t want them standing around eating all day and porking out again.
I’ll probably ride Grace since it’s been a while for her. If Elizabeth comes then she can ride Hope.
Well, I’m very jealous of Elizabeth:)
Becky
All of them but the yearlings are. My clippers went on the blink last year and I haven't used them much on them. Just been using scissors.
Gotta go. Going to meet hubby in Huntsville for some company Safety dinner. Free food, boring speaker. Such is life. Talk to y'all tomorrow...
Having withdrawals? ;o)
You’ve put me in an agonizing dilemma:(
Hosin' horses off :~)
And those weird KangaRabbitDeer things at the punkin' patch...
Those are the strangest looking creatures:)
Becky
Yeah - I think he’s been playing around with gene splicing in the lab... ;~)
What are those weird rabbity looking things called? Are they really kangarabbits?
They look like rabbits till they walk, they walk like deer.
I don’t remember what those things are called... maybe one of the other ladies does.
I thought they were called Cavies but when I Googled that, all I see are Guinea Pigs, so I don’t know what the heck they were.
and that weird-looking pot-bellied pygmie bull. He wasn't even waist high...
And what we all thought was a Yak...
Here are a few pictures I took on the trip.
Becky and Hair getting Rocky ready to ride.
Heading into St. Louis. That tall silver thingy in the background is the arch. There was too much traffic and I had to make lane changes, when I got closer.
Crossing the Mississippi River into Illinois.
Good morning! Yes there is a lot to do before winter here too...
And I slept in this morning... maybe I’m getting back into my own time zone :~)
Good morning everyone!
Patagonian Cavy’s... that’s his story... I still think he’s messing around in the lab, what with that weird pygmy bull and the sheep goat. ;~)
