To be honest I haven't followed MLB much for the past many, many years. Since I didn't, as a child, live in a baseball town, I listened to the St. Louis Cardinals at night on that blowtorch am station.

Back in those days I knew going into the season there would be Brock, Simmons, Sizemore. No team jumping. And if a batter leaned over the plate on Bob Gibson, Gibson was going to dust him. Nobody charged mound. It was just part of the game.

Lost interest years ago.

Yeah, the league has definitely lost a lot of the ‘magic’ it used to have back in the day (and by ‘the day,’ I mean up until the strike or so).
