When I was there, one could go to Reb Bank and/or Long Branch and hear soon-to-be-famous rock abd rol bands for a $2.00 cover charge.

How far back was that? Did you ever make it to Sea Bright?

Monmouth Park indeed. Every morning a group of us NCO's would call their bookies for the days races. Every afternoon I watched who was buying beers at the little bar/convenience store right outside the gate
This would have been in late '74. Sea Bright...yep...went there a lot. It was actually a nice place for my time there. Week-end trips into NYC or down to Baltimore/D.C. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg but TDY there at Ft. Monmouth for almost a year. Good times.
