When he is 'on target' it is because he is talking about some simple thing that is easy to agree with and does not involve a lot of thought....like punishing child rapists to the fullest extent of the law. Beyond that, he is like most other reporters that are outside of their field. They can't do a decent story because they don't know the material. O'Reilly is different though because he shows little interest in learning the material.

Hopefully he will stick to Hollywood bimbos and various types of perverts but leave economics and science alone. I get so embarrassed for him I have to change the channel.

I don't watch him a lot, but I remember on several occasions he seemed very uninformed about the issue he was talking about. I can understand him not doing his homework, but you'd think his staff would do it for him.
