William Devane has been fantastic, so has Chloe, Niles, Milo, the token ME chick, Bill, Bill’s wife, all the bad guys, all the good guys (especially Everyman Peter McNichol) I’ve loved every minute.
This news tells me that 24 has caved. That makes it even worse than other shows, because I always believed that 24 was representing US. The UN-PC Americans who know that being ruthless is the only way to win. It worked against the Germans in Dresden and it worked against the Japanese at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and it works when Jack Bauer needs that intel, now. THERE’S NO TIME!

Howard Gordon took over from Joel Surnow as the show runner starting in season 5, so Surnow has less influence now. Gordon is a lib as is writer/producer Evan Katz who donated to Dean a few years ago.
Surnow wrote or co-wrote 9 episodes in season 1 and only 5 in season 6. Meanwhile, co-creator Bob Cochran (also a conservative) went from writing 6 episodes in the first season to just 2 in season 6.
