I learned of the MODIS "rapid response" website from the FR "swimming at the North Pole" thread, and now I'm addicted to it. I'm wondering if this chinese dust is evident by comparison of the following images. Each of them shows the local noontime backscattering over the ocean. One east of China, and the other in mid-Atlantic. Here are the links for the
