It has to do with whether the blood bank has the special variance that allows them to accept high iron blood. If I went to Dallas I could donate mine with no problem, but here they don’t even allow me near the donor chairs. I have my blood drawn in the chemo room. I always joke that they make me feel like I have cooties.
