Still no job. Starting to stress me out. All these really great interviews with highly glowing feedback... and no one wants to hire me...
Feckless retards don't know what's good for 'em...
Maybe we could look for jobs together.
I’ve been there and done that, DC. It doesn’t get easier. There are times when you think, “What’s the use?”
It’s easy for someone to say, “You just have to keep doing it.” I’ll say this: I don’t know how long/often you’re hitting the streets/websites/etc., but when I was OD’d by all the “Don’t call us, we’ll call you’s” I was getting, I would take a week off and do nothing job-related.
It gave me a break in the constant feeling of not being “worthy” of being hired. I could handle about three weeks worth of daily job searches, and then I had to quit. When I would start back up again, I felt refreshed.
It eventually paid off, but in the meantime, I took a job with a temp agency. It kept me in beans and tortillas for almost three years.
When I finally DID get hired, I was promoted in a hurry. :o])
The right job will turn up, DC. I know it will, because I’ve been praying for you. *HUG*
At least you’re getting the interviews. I went through a period ‘94 to ‘95 where I didn’t even get many first-stage, and even fewer second-stage, interviews. Got this job by responding to a blind ad in the newspaper — the ad listed two positions (HW & SW); I applied for one and was hired for the other.
