300. Good movie, if you take it for what it is. A script based on a graphic novel based on a historical event with a number of bits thrown in for drama.

If you want serious history don't bother but if you want a ripping good yarn go see it.

We have “300 Spartans,” from the 1960’s, in which the characters all pronounce one another’s names in different ways, because only a few are native speakers of English.

It’s informative, though.
