I take offence to some of these views. I am 29 years old and want very much to have children, however I want them to be born into this world knowing that BOTH parents love them very much and that BOTH will be there forever. If that doesnt happen then I will not bring an inocent child into the world without that stability. Before you judge these women as a whole just know that not all of us are selfish and really sacraficing in a big way.

OK.
I am 29 years old and want very much to have children, however I want them to be born into this world knowing that BOTH parents love them very much and that BOTH will be there forever.
Firstly, I am under no illusions that my own parents will be around forever. I do not hold it against them and I still manage to function.
Also, I haven't allowed the fact that I could be hit by a bus on my way to work tomorrow to interfere with having a family of my own.
If that doesnt happen then I will not bring an inocent child into the world without that stability.
If stability means having parents who are immortal, I'm not sure how many stable homes there are.
Before you judge these women as a whole just know that not all of us are selfish and really sacraficing in a big way.
For the record: I haven't called anyone selfish.
And to be perfectly blunt: the intentionally childless people I know are no more slefless than the parents I know. Moreover, precious few Americans live lives of real personal sacrifice.
Well, I guess we better shut down the internet.
