I saw a comedian talking about Dick a while back. She said Dick isn’t a pedophile, he isn’t strong enough to hold a child down.
Seems that a lot of comedians don’t care for Andy Dick.

That, apparently, is what set Jon Lovitz off, who then screamed "I don't want to be in your movie! I don't want to be in your life!", and then pushed him repeatedly into a rail."Good for youuuuu, Jack!"
To: JennysCool
Sounds like Jon did the right thing.

Andy Dick was reportedly doing cocaine at the party when he gave some to Hartman's wife, Brynn, who had been sober for 10 years. Five months later, Hartman's wife flipped out, shot him, and then killed herself. Wow! I'd never heard that before.
Hartman was a huge talent and I was very saddened when he was murdered.

I was not sure who this Andy Dick guy was and I read the article on him in Wikipedia, the article was all ready updated to include this incident. Kinda cool, I suppose.

I’ve enjoyed Andy Dick’s comedy performances, but I have heard from “insiders” that he’s a jerk in person and is notorious for showing up for work schized out on drugs.

The club's owner, Jamie Masada, witnessed the fight and said: "Jon picked Andy up by the head and smashed him into the bar four or five times, and blood started pouring out of his nose."Somebody just had to get this on their cell phone camera!

Only because Andy Dick drives me nuts, thank you John! Of course Phil was funnier than either of you, but I think John is a big enough man to admit it.

I hope Lovitz’s wife, Morgan Fairchild, wasn’t hurt in the melee.

Everything I have seen or read about Andy Dick tells me he had this coming to him.

Andy does have a way of needling people and being generally obnoxious that is quite irritating. Jon is so mild mannered and loveable, I would love to hear what Andy said right before the bashing. Jon's kind of the last person you'd expect to hear was involved in such a fight. Andy's just not funny. Sad, but not funny.
Lovitz said, "All the comedians are glad I did it because this guy is an [edited]."
I think that applies to non-comedians as well. ;-)

Damn....Lovitz is my nomination for the Meyer Lansky Tough Jew award....
well done Jon....I never liked that Dick anyhow

Andy Dick ... well, is.
Among the many forms of justice in this story is Dick getting knocked in the dirt by a tubby 50-year-old. Not a lot of way to walk away from that with any pride intact.
I’m not sure whether Tom Green is an Andy Dick wannabe or Andy Dick is a Tom Green wannabe, but either way I’d love to put them both on a tiny, remote island with Pauly Shore and then erase the island from the charts.
Comedians tend to be a pretty cohesive crowd — just watch a Friar’s Club roast, if you can handle the most extreme forms of foul language. The highest form of respect in that world is to say the nastiest things you can think of, and we’re talking about smart, creative people here.
Phil Hartman was the greatest comic actor in decades, and his death was a senseless tragedy especially for the people who knew and loved him, but for anyone who likes to laugh. Every comedian who’s worth a damn knows that. Anyone who doesn’t have any respect is someone real comedians wouldn’t p-— on if he were on fire.
