First three that came to mind because I listen to them a lot.
Kill Bill... WooHoo...
Besides the Big Chill, I tried to avoid soundtracks that just play songs already popular. I find it annoying that so many movies (and TV commercials) have to resort to playing famous rock songs to make them exciting. I exempt Scorcese, since he uses radio hits to place his movies in time.
Many here may never have heard it, but “Victory at Sea” was an outstanding soundtrack (and series)!

Oh, yes—Victory at Sea! At one time my brother had had the soundtrack on LP. Wonderful stuff. [I wish the History Channel would show that.]
I only have a couple on cd. These are great soundtracks.
They are Casino, Natural Born Killers, and Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2.
I love a bunch of others, but rarely listen to compact discs as it is.
Wish I could find a longer sample. Perhaps the most stirring music ever to accompany a film.
I don't remember the soundtrack but the movie is one of my favorites.
"Grease" I love the movie and I have the CD and have many of the songs on my iPod.
However...
Trainspotting, Natural Born Killers, and Pulp Fiction get honourable mentions...
ESPECIALLY NATURAL BORN KILLERS!
