Their vicious onscreen catfights helped turn Dynasty into a 1980s TV hit.
Then, last year, Joan Collins, 74, and Linda Evans, 64, reunited to play a pair of feuding former Hollywood stars in a touring play. Now, in an extraordinary one-off extract from her personal diary, Joan reveals the truth about the worst theatrical experience of her life. "Blame the Mexicans!" she says...
Spring 2005: New York
At last - a funny play that has the perfect role for me. It's called Legends, and my character, Sylvia, is a sharp and witty former Hollywood star who's fallen on hard times. She meets up with her rival Leatrice - a drippy type who used to play nuns and nurses - and away we go. Lots of badinage, bitching, insults and all-out hand-to-hand fighting.
But who's going to play Leatrice?
Jinkies!
Attack of the living dead.
Why do women not grow old gracefully like they used to?
These two should just STFU and go count their money. Just typical loons of Hollywood.
Wow. Linda looks like she’s been visiting Michael Jackson’s plastic surgeon.
Seriesly?
Now I can sleeeep!
I wish the kitty pic was high enough quality for a background. Cute! [No comment about Collins or Evans.]
Joan's looking alright, but my goodness Linda looks like a bad Barbara Eden mask!
It's so sad how these women mutilate their faces!
Please..women of Hollywood. It's OK to age gracefully!!
Linda Evans looks bad, but Colllins looks like a window mannequin. She’s had her own plastic surgery—obviously better than Evans’s. I’ll guarantee you that she’s wearing makeup on all of the skin above the neckline of her dress.
Joan the 80s called they want their make-up back.
But now...
Linda looks like Catherine O’Hara’s character after bad plastic surgery in the movie “For Your Consideration.” (Maybe that’s where the movie got the idea...)
Gosh, Joan looks like a wax doll, doesn’t she?
Lol, I’ll bet ‘she’ is missing at Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum!
