The mom had to wait for 11 hours to get on the plane. The only one to complain was the flight attendent, and she all but told her to drug her kid.
Well at least she didn't suggest that the child play outside.
I remember a time when a flight attendant with unruly children on board would ask the Captain to drop the cabin pressure a tad. It seems that children are more affected by "oxygen deprivation" then adults and at about 6000' above sea level they get sleepy and drop off. The adults don't even notice.

I don’t think that you have the story quite right. Maybe this is a different 19 month old, but it looks like the same one.
“Bye Bye Plane,” over and over, interrupting the flight attendant who was trying to give the safety speech, several times. The mother thought that the kid was just being cute. The stewardess disagreed. The mother made no attempt to hush the child so that the flight attendant could get through her little speech.
