The only unfair advantage I can see is that his heart and lungs doesn’t have to work as hard to process the Co2. Since his legs are gone, the blood that would have been there now has a better chance to exchange all the negatives and reprocess better. Not being in the medical field, I don’t know how to state this better. Just hope it’s understood.
He may be expanding more energy in his upper legs to operate it though. He won’t get lower leg fatigue but I could see how his thigh muscles might tire. He also has a risk of trauma to the stump site. I think he will come in with a bit of a handicap.
