BSG lost me in the third season. The episode that pretty much did it for me was the one where they discovered the virus that kills Cylons and Helo took it upon himself to foil the plan to use it against them, citing ethical reasons. What was portrayed as a ethical stand is in fact a very unethical decision, because instead of preventing genocide, he in fact enabled it to continue. Yet he was show to be a hero for this.

Dittoes - though I nearly left the show over the Pegasus rape-torture episode of season 2. That's where it started coming off the rails for me.

It bounced back with the awe-inspiring "Exodus, Part 2" in Season 3, but then in the 2nd half of this last year I think it permanantly crashed.

I thought that the moral dilemma was a wholly self-indulgent argument. The morally superior attitude in light of the fact that the Cylon MACHINES had exterminated billions of people? The human race as they knew it was just about gone and they want to worry about their place in history? How they might be judged for committing some act of genocide when not killing their enemy might result in their elimination?

That was stupid, but at least it still resembled science fiction. My last episode was that stupid boxing match thing.
