I’ve always been a fan of “Manifest Destiny”. There is no doubt in my mind that many in the North land would love spending winters down on Coastal Oaxaca.

You may be missing the point-—we are not being asked to “join” Mexico-—we are being TOLD both that they are joining US, or WORSE, that we are “trading places”.
