North American union plan headed to Congress in fall

WASHINGTON – A powerful think tank chaired by former Sen. Sam Nunn and guided by trustees including Richard Armitage, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Harold Brown, William Cohen and Henry Kissinger, is in the final stages of preparing a report to the White House and U.S. Congress on the benefits of integrating the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one political, economic and security bloc.

The final report, published in English, Spanish and French, is scheduled for submission to all three governments by Sept. 30, according to the Center for Strategic & International Studies.

CSIS boasts of playing a large role in the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994 – a treaty that set in motion a political movement many believe resembles the early stages of the European Community on its way to becoming the European Union.

"The results of the study will enable policymakers to make sound, strategic, long-range policy decisions about North America, with an emphasis on regional integration," explains Armand B. Peschard-Sverdrup, director of CSIS' Mexico Project. "Specifically, the project will focus on a detailed examination of future scenarios, which are based on current trends, and involve six areas of critical importance to the trilateral relationship: labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness and border infrastructure and logistics."

Of course, the NAU will play well in the U.S. Senate which has become a rats nest of corrupt elites. The House isn't going to buy it. Which leaves us with what the federal government always does in such situations--what they cannot achieve by constitutional means they will attempt to obtain by sneak, stealth and unconstitutional means.

Our job is to make damn sure they don't get away with it. We shut down Washington on the Amnesty bill and we can do it again. We will do it again.

By the way, where are all the pooh-poohers on the SPP/NAU? You remember them--a loosely connected group of "free-traitors" who came out of the woodwork whenever SPP/NAU was mentioned to debunk and make light of any and all concerns about this treasonous plan.

Of course it is.

So which candidates running in 2008 say they support the NAU? How many Senators or Congressmen?

But let's see what John Manley, another member of the task force

John Manley, who's he? Why do I care what he said?

Sounds an awful lot like the language used by the proponents of the recent Immigration Bill.

People screamed about giving amnesty to 12 million (20 million?) furriners, you think they'll allow 109 million more poor furriners suddenly become citizens? That's funny.

Obviously, the members of this task force have a little more clout than you and your drinking buddies.

And they have just as much of a chance of getting their wish, zero.

At the very least, he seems confident that the Bush administration agrees with the Task Force already.

And we see how much sway Bush had with Congress. How'd that work out?

It comes out of Weld's mouth in 2005 and out of Bush's in 2007.

And went down to defeat.

So which candidates running in 2008 say they support the NAU? How many Senators or Congressmen?

Well, let's see. From the AP:

NEW YORK (AP) - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton announced Thursday that Raul Yzaguirre, a prominent Hispanic activist and former president of the National Council of La Raza, would co-chair her presidential campaign and lead its outreach to Hispanic voters.

Who is Raul Yzaguirre? Let's see what Wikipedia has on him.

Yzaguirre is a member of the David Rockefeller headed Council on Foreign Relations[7] and was a member of the Independent Task Force on North America.[8] In May 2005, task force published Building a North American Community. A plan that calls for greater cooperation between the United States, Canada and Mexico through the degradation of national sovereignty. The plan also calls for the free movement or goods, capital and people in a North American union.

Why, he just happens to be a member of the very Task Force we are talking about. Imagine that!

Then there is Rudy. Here is a story by Cliff Kincaid from Accuracy in Media. An excerpt:

GOP presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani has extensive and deep ties to the NAFTA Superhighway and the construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC). Giuliani's law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, is the exclusive legal council for Cintra, the Spanish firm chosen to operate the I-35 toll road in the TTC.

Raul is running in 2008? Or did Hillary! say she supported the NAU? I missed that.

Why, he just happens to be a member of the very Task Force we are talking about. Imagine that!

OMG! I just hope Senator Rockefeller doesn't support Hillary in 2008, then we'll really be doomed. Because his name is Rockefeller. LOL!

GOP presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani has extensive and deep ties to the NAFTA Superhighway and the construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC).

OMG! A road! Ping me when Rudy says, "I support the NAU and will sign it when I'm elected".

Thanks, keep trying.

Yes, we did. And we'll win again if the NAU ever comes up for a vote.

Never fret. The SPP/NAU lurkers are still hiding around the corners peeking to find mistakes. Soon they will be pouncing our gramatical errors and spelling mistakes showing us how much more superior they are compared to us.LOL!

HCON 40 IH

110th CONGRESS

1st Session

H. CON. RES. 40

Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

January 22, 2007

Mr. GOODE (for himself, Mr. WAMP, Mr. JONES of North Carolina, Mr. PAUL, Mr. STEARNS, Mr. DUNCAN, and Ms. FOXX) submitted the following concurrent resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and in addition to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada.

Whereas the United States Departments of State, Commerce, and Homeland Security participated in the formation of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) on March 23, 2005, representing a tri-lateral agreement between the United States, Canada, and Mexico designed, among other things, to facilitate common regulatory schemes between these countries;

Whereas reports issued by the SPP indicate that it has implemented regulatory changes among the three countries that circumvent United States trade, transportation, homeland security, and border security functions and that the SPP will continue to do so in the future;

Whereas the actions taken by the SPP to coordinate border security by eliminating obstacles to migration between Mexico and the United States actually makes the United States-Mexico border less secure because Mexico is the primary source country of illegal immigrants into the United States;

Whereas according to the Department of Commerce, United States trade deficits with Mexico and Canada have significantly increased since the implementation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA);

Whereas the economic and physical security of the United States is impaired by the potential loss of control of its borders attendant to the full operation of NAFTA and the SPP;

Whereas the regulatory and border security changes implemented and proposed by the SPP violate and threaten United States sovereignty;

Whereas a NAFTA Superhighway System from the west coast of Mexico through the United States and into Canada has been suggested as part of a North American Union to facilitate trade between the SPP countries;

Whereas the State of Texas has already begun planning of the Trans-Texas Corridor, a major multi-modal transportation project beginning at the United States-Mexico border, which would serve as an initial section of a NAFTA Superhighway System;

Whereas it could be particularly difficult for Americans to collect insurance from Mexican companies which employ Mexican drivers involved in accidents in the United States, which would likely increase the insurance rates for American drivers;

Whereas future unrestricted foreign trucking into the United States can pose a safety hazard due to inadequate maintenance and inspection, and can act collaterally as a conduit for the entry into the United States of illegal drugs, illegal human smuggling, and terrorist activities; and

Whereas a NAFTA Superhighway System would likely include funds from foreign consortiums and be controlled by foreign management, which threatens the sovereignty of the United States: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That—

(1) the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System;

(2) the United States should not allow the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) to implement further regulations that would create a North American Union with Mexico and Canada; and

(3) the President of the United States should indicate strong opposition to these acts or any other proposals that threaten the sovereignty of the United States.

It is extremely scarey, especially since tired old elitists hatched this plot without approval of US citizens.

It is only a report going to congress at this point. Should US citizen approval all reading material?
