Not really. We all run Firefox as our default browser and still get plenty of adware/spyware/malware. Still far better than IE, to be sure........but I don’t want anyone to read this thread and get a false sense of security. You need these ‘cleaners’ even when running Firefox.
I've been using it for going on 3 years now without even a hint of a malware or spyware 'infection'. I've never used any cleaners or anything, and I practically LIVE on the internet. The only thing I do is disable popups in my firefox config, and that is all. Do you update regularly?
Hence, my problem right now.
That said, I've been using Mozilla/Firefox for about five years now and this is the first time I've had problems with it.
I never browse with IE only Firefox.
NoScript is your friend.
