Saw the preview yesterday when I went to see Transformers. It looked pretty good, FWIW.
Bart shows off his butterfinger! I figure he’s smooth like a Ken doll.
Matt Groening has made millions appealing to the infantilism of American “adults.” His humor is akin to the sophistication of an eight-year-old boy simulating body-noises by pumping air into his arm pit. It doesn’t take much to entertain some people.
The most sensible approach to Groening and Michael Moore is to totally ignore these permanent adolescents. They are both wealthy enough without giving them free publicity for their latest mental burps.
I fail to see the “dig” at environmentalists. In the end, Lisa’s presentation is still labelled as “truth” and not fantasy.
>>Groening added: “And it’s a romantic movie. Homer falls in love with a pig.”
(O’Donnell pic here)
Donald Trump: “Can you imagine what Rosie’s girlfriend
tells her parents? Mom? Dad? I just fell in love with a big
fat pig named Rosie...”
"It's to entertain people and also to annoy a certain segment of the audience as well."
Sounds like they're succeeding before the movie is even released! :^)
