Go to this site 'http://www.1800duilaws.com/forms/duiarrest.asp' and see what chance you have in comparison to other states in getting arrested for driving under the influence. Just click on the state and data appears for population, number of agencies with arrest powers and the number of DUI arrests.

Take special note to Washington D.C.

You have zero chance if you don’t drink before you drive.

True.. When I lived in a State of Constant Inebriation, my chances of getting caught were pretty good....

Like you, I always felt like a fugitive from the law of averages.

I quit, and became a designated driver.

Look at DC and tell me there's not something seriously, seriously wrong.

Apparently they've decided to make it a Morals Free Zone for politicians.

All this research and they didn’t calculate percentages?

How many of DC’s 28 arrests are attributable to one former teflon coated mayor?

D.C. is s low because police don’t pull anyone over in case it’s a Kennedy.

I agree. Vermont and a few others have similar populations, yet, they they thousands of arrests.

Kind of funny results. In the mid nineties I drove friends to a bar and on the way back we hit a checkpoint at Mass Ave by the convention center. There was a block of traffic waiting to get checked. A car in front of us tried to do a uturn and the police jumped on that guy in 20 seconds. They were arresting so many people they were using a Metro bus as the paddy wagon. Maybe that stopped.

Patches Kennedy comes to mind immediately. Watch for Gore’s son to flee into rehab. Talk about a free pass.
Super skank Lindsey Lohan is still hiding out in the Paradise clinic, that’s the one that straightened Britney Spears out!

Something is wrong with the DC numbers; I don’t believe 28. DC cops regularly set up sobriety checkpoints and issue DUI citations by the bucketfull. I think there is a definitional problem somewhere in these statistics. DC is NOT a good city to drink and drive in.
