I think that Benoit was suffering from Steroid abuse... it leads to violent behavior. Comparing him today to how he looked ten years ago shows that he has beefed up amazingly... and you don’t grow those type of muscles merely by weight lifting. He almost doubled his upper body musculature. He had to have been using steroids.
I have no doubt steroids played a part, but it can't be the sole cause, the whole thing was so methodical, over the course of 3 days, it seems thought out, I am wondering what else happened to him.
Other drugs? Concussions? etc.
Like what you say, or he may have gotten some negative news on a physical examination that might not bode well for his future career.

One of the side effects of long term Steroid abuse is homicidal and suicidal ideation... and it can get quite elaborate. Another is the lack of ability to perform sexually and atrophy of the male sexual organs...

I know people who use (and abuse steroids), I also think he had other problems added in conjunction.
This whole thing was way to planned out and thought out and done to step by step, I think it was more then just one drug (steroids, plus others) and other factors.
Long story short, he was a monster, but he was a monster with a whole lot of stuff in him, I got a feeling, his tox report is going to show alot of stuff he was taking, I just wonder if his head injuries also played a part.
Right like maybe painkillers too;
In fact, people get addicted to the painkillers and not just talking about the guy on the airwaves (Rush).

If wrestlers are unregulated in many ways in the use of steroids; just think what these additional drugs can do in the mix of things.

Painkillers are probably a much bigger problem in wrestling than steroids have ever been. These guys get injured on a regular basis & often have to continue to work despite those injuries. This is said to be the main cause of Kerry Von Erich having his foot amputated. They have injuries & are pushed to keep going.
They will do everything they can to blame this on steroids. But I also think Chris just snapped. I believe he lost it & killed Nancy. Then he ended up having to make a decision & made the wrong one.
IMO steroids drove him insane.

yep - unless he was a dealer then he was putting a lot of that crap into his body. The reports I’ve heard are staggering amounts.
