I was sitting in my living room one time & my cat was by my chair. Suddenly, she jumped straight up in the air - I looked, and a snake was curled up by my feet! She started swiping at it & it struck at her. My husband and I both just jumped up & stood on our chairs screaming while the poor cat tried to defend her home.

Finally, my husband caught the snake & took it outside after he determined it was a rat snake. Considering I am deathly afraid of snakes - it was really hard for me to relax in my house for awhile.

I had another cat that woke me up in the middle of the night once - peeing on my stomach! Never did it before or since - I’ve always wondering what he was trying to tell me.

Piss off?

Usually, it is telling you there was something about the litter box that it didn’t like.

My cat peed on me once. I was sitting in a chair out in the back yard. He came up to me, like he usually does when I'm sitting there, and then he turned around and sprayed me. He had never done anything like that before or since. The neat thing is, he hadn't peed in a few days. I had taken him to the vet and it turned out he had a urinary tract infection. He had been on his medicine for a few days. I looked at it as he was saying, "thanks for taking care of me, I'm better now."
