I never thought about it that way, and youre absolutely right about the political overtones. Ill have to think about this more. The movie director is best known for two TV miniseries. One involved teenagers and the other involved political intrigue.

Well, that should make for a nice little mix.
I'm hoping for a nice exit for Fred and George in the film.

But they don’t usually scream incessantly at their friends.

I think all four make it. Ron and Hermione mirror Mr. and Mrs. Weasley.

Good thing I read down. I agree completely.
And we still haven’t found out Ginny’s real significance, being the seventh child and all.

I believe she said “Dead is dead, even in the wizarding world.” But if Dumbledore didn’t really die, than he won’t have to be resurrected.
I vote that it’s Clinton-speak....maybe.

“Friends” is a shifting concept for teens.

I don’t think it will be satisfying. I understand they don’t do the lake, and a lot of the fun of the exit is rooted in all the details that lead up to it.
That’s one of my favorite parts.

I believe she said Dead is dead, even in the wizarding world. But if Dumbledore didnt really die, than he wont have to be resurrected. She has said much more than that. She has said that this type of story requires the hero to carry on alone.
I have no doubt that Dumbledore left behind a talking portrait and some goodies in the pensieve, but he is dead.

And we still havent found out Ginnys real significance, being the seventh child and all.Well, I don't know if she's going for a "seventh child of a seventh child" sort of thing (that's usually the 7th son of the 7th son, but, hey, take liberties).
Also, I've been told, but I don't remember this, but Ginny is supposedly the first female-born Weasley in generations. (If anyone can cite a book or a Rowling interview with this info, I'd appreciate it.)

I think Ginny is a Bad Seed. I wouldn’t put up with her schtik from one of my daughters for a minute!

...and some goodies in the pensieve, but he is dead. TOTAL agreement--I absolutely believe there will be some continuity with memories being passed around. Questions: Memories of what? With whom were they left?
I don't know who has them, or how memories will get from DD to HP, but I am certain (watch this bite me in the ass) that DD leaves a memory showing why he believed in Snape, right up until the end.
I think Snape made an Unbreakable Vow with DD to protect HP after his, Snape's, remorseful doubletake after the death of the Potters. I think DD left proof of that in the form of a memory. I can't wait to find out how wrong I am!!!

from wikipedia:
"Ginevra de' Benci (Born 1457) was a lady of the aristocratic class in 15th century Florence, admired for her intelligence by Florentine contemporaries. She is the subject of one of only 17 extant paintings attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. "
Also, I've found that Ginevra is the Italian form of Guinevere, which makes Harry . . .
Actually, that could make Neville Sir Lancelot.

Ginevra=Italian form of Guinevere ("fair one"), the name of King Arthur's wife; also Italian for the Swiss city of Geneva (JKR).
Da Vinci also painted a portrait of Ginevra de Benici, but she's not a redhead.
I'm old enough to be having a mid-life crisis and buying a Corvette! Instead I'm discussing Harry Potter on the web!

I can empathize (except for having the money for a Corvette!).
