There’s an IMAX theater in town, so I’ll be watching Order of the Phoenix in 3-D.
I’ve never been to the local IMAX. Don’t know what I’m waiting for. (Well, other than a good movie.) I need to find someone else interested in going. My son isn’t. My nephew is, but so’s his dad, so he goes with him. (I take him to a bunch of regular movies.)
I love Fred and George. After the trio, they are my favorite characters.
It’s an interesting possibility, certainly.
Last night in the A&E special, one of the people (the blond woman whose name I have completely forgotten) brought up a really good point that has probably already been discussed, but I’m going to bring it up again anyway. LOL
Who retrieved and saved Voldemort’s wand? Was that last little bit of soul able to do it? It did kill unicorns in SS. Did someone go to Godric’s Hollow with him to kill Harry’s parents?
Meant to ping you to my post above, too!
He must have hidden them because it would be hard for a rat to drag two wands around for years!
But if VM used his wand to kill unicorns in SS, then....
...my head is spinning!
That was a discussion point in Emerson Spartz’s Book. I seem to recall that he thought it was Wormtail.
Where would he keep it, though? In the burrow with the Weasleys? Or that secret spot in the Malfoy’s house maybe? Off topic, I hope we see the inside of the Malfoy’s house at some point. I picture it to be creepy, unnaturally clean and with a lot of things you are not allowed to touch- like a museum.
Here's a pic from Details magazine of Radcliffe - anyone thinking what I'm thinking?
I’m at work and Spartz’s book is at home. Will post more on this topic later.
Somehow, “YMCA” by the Village People burst into my head. Wonder why?
I don’t know what you are thinking, but that look in his eyes says, “Please, can I take the vest off now? I’m British. I really should be wearing a shirt.”
You know, there is a fine line between British and gay.
I’m not even gonna touch that one! LOL
Not as such, but it was clearly implied to be Quirrel, seeking answers from Hagrid as to how to bypass "Fluffy".
LOL!
Neville, in my opinion, shows the characteristic mannerisms of someone hit with one too many memory charms. But by whom, and why? Did Neville's grandmother try to get him to forget his parents? Or did Neville happen to witness their torture into madness, and the memory charms are used to prevent him from going mad himself from the recollections? Or did he see something he shouldn't have seen?
All good questions. As someone mentioned up the thread, Neville would only have been a little over a year old at the time of his parents’ ... er ... unfortunate incident. I suppose it’s possible that he has memories that could be retrieved, even if he doesn’t recall, but how would that help anyone? The LeStranges know what happened.
I have to reread the book about one thing: in the PoA movie, when Lupin is transforming, Pettigrew grabs hold of a dropped wand. Harry shoots it out of his hand, but it's too late. So it appears that Pettigrew didn't have a wand while he was a rat. If he did, we can assume that it was taken from him (although he made no attempt to pull it out and there isn't a mention of it) and when he escapes, he has no wand. So he needs to get a wand.
Likewise, Voldemort was in no condition to kill the caretaker or Cedric, so Wormtail is in possession of Voldemort's wand and can use it. He probably fetched it from its hiding place and brought it to Voldemort as an offering to show that he was still loyal to him.
