A child's tantrum onboard a Delta commuter flight forced a pilot to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport.
Chopper 10 was over the scene.
The forced landing was caused by a fight over apple juice.
A 4-year-old wanted apple juice and when the stewardess didn't get it quick enough, the child threw a tantrum, NBC 10 reported.
The Delta commuter flight landed around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The flight originated in New York and was headed to North Carolina before the incident.
Passengers were spending the night in Philadelphia, NBC 10 reported.
Authorities said there would be no charges filed in the incident.
OMG, that is funny! What a loon the woman is.
And my grandpa use to say....”IT’S SPANKIN’ DAY!”
I love that one!!!!!!!
what did he do? Wouldn’t stop screaming? I know it makes for a horrible experience, but they couldn’t make it to NC?
from that article:
A family fight forced a flight bound for Greensboro to make an unscheduled stop in Philadelphia late Tuesday afternoon and led to the arrest of one family member, airline authorities said.
The Delta flight, which originated from LaGuardia Airport in New York, was diverted to Philadelphia International Airport shortly after its 3:30 p.m. takeoff when a passenger in the rear of the plane became unruly, authorities for Delta and Comair, which operated the flight, said.
Tom Marzouk, the station manager for Delta at Piedmont Triad International Airport, said one person was arrested.
Philadelphia’s KYW-AM 1060 Newsradio. is reporting the disturbance allegedly involved a man who became irate and used profanity over a lengthy wait for some apple juice he had ordered.
In 1978, I went so far as to use a belt on a 14-year-old who was standing in the middle of a busy street daring me to run over him.
