Been to Hawaii, but never to Kauai. I'll have to get here someday (and helicopter over the Na Pali coast, too).

Better yet, hike the NaPali coastline. It is shockingly beautiful and not too hard of a hike. Was in Kauai in 2000 and stayed on the north shore near Princeville.
The pictures I took on that hike look like postcards.

I’ve been to Kaua’i several times. It’s a beautiful island. I recommend staying in the Po’ipu Beach area. It’s as close to “centrally located” as you’re going to get on the island. Also, some of the best snorkeling on the island is at the State Beach in Po’ipu.
