Wait a minute! He wants to take away the workers’ right to vote for or against a union? Did I get that right?

He’s in favor of the big-business organizers? Unions? C’mon, tell me I read this wrong.

You are reading this wrong ... he is in favor of those guys showing up on your doorstep wondering why you won’t sign the union organizaing card. Then it’s “you signed the card so we don’t need a vote.”

Nope.

Currently, a majority of employees must sign “cards” in order to authorize an election.

Then an actual election is held.

Instead, this new bill would make the “cards” the de-facto election.

In my not-so-limited experience, many employees sign the cards just to make management sweat. Most really don’t want a union because bargaining starts at a wage rate of $0.00

Indeed, such a bill would go further than the current absurdity, which would merely eliminate secret balloting.
