Is he also a workaholoic?

Not stopping to smell the roses . . .

implies a striving born out of a . . . childhood without sufficient daddy bonding and affection, affirmation.

It’s also a horrid way to live.

He will realize it, hopefully, before he graduates from this life . . . but too often, those sort only realize it on their death beds or during their final illness.

I pray he wakes up well before that.

Yes, he’s a workaholic.
BUT...we had a 2 y/o and two cats in the car, and he was thinking what a headache it would be to try to wag all of them around everywhere—I was disappointed but there’s always the future! :-) Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, etc. aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, I hope!
