It sure sounds like he should be a suspect.
Did they ever think of looking UNDER the rug, in a crawl space in the floor or something?
According to friends and family, he’s such a nice guy. Right. According to women he knew and his record, I don’t think so.
Have only seen bits and pieces of this case on the news, so don’t know details, but sure had questions about how the little 2-yo knew what a rolled-up rug looked like, ya know?
I’ve only seen people carrying big rolled-up rugs a few times in my long life, so if someone abducted Jessie by rolling her up in the comforter off the bed, what made the baby think she was rolled up in a rug?
It’s remarkable and wonderful that he was that observant, but I just wondered how in the heck he made that connection. Would a child that young have seen rolled-up rugs a lot in his little lifetime? Like at Home Depot or a Carpet store or something? It amazes me.
Maybe they had new carpet laid recently, so it was more top-of-mind than I’m thinking it was. I just don’t know!
The broken table part, I understand - they said the nightstand had been overturned or something. And maybe “mommy was ON the rug” when an intruder knocked her down, instead of IN the rug.
I don’t know what to think, if the cop and his wife have air-tight alibis (or are they each other’s alibi?). If this is Davis’s baby that has been found, that’s wonderful! But still a puzzle piece. I hope to goodness there is a decent resolution to this.
