The Upper Peninsula contains almost one-third of the land area of Michigan but just 3% of the total population. Residents are frequently called Yoopers (derived from "U.P.-ers"), and have a strong regional identity. It includes the only counties in the United States where a plurality of residents state their ancestry as Finnish.
The Upper Peninsula IS beautiful, with over 100 waterfalls and the fabulous Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Not to mention Cornish Pasties and the wildberry jams made by a monastery on the Keneenaw Peninsula.
Really?
Is this a big business?
Global Warming? :)
I think it’s out of scale because it was made by a Yooper.
