Good Morning. And a Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.

It’s unusally hot and muggy here in the Midwest. This is July weather.

I will never plant Wave Petunias again. They are the thirstiest little wenches I’ve ever tried to grow. They just keep wilting in the heat and wind. It seems all I do is carry water to them. I finally drug out the hoses for watering purposes.

My rain barrel is practically empty. There’s nothing but a muddy gruel on the bottom. Today I will clean it out if there’s time to do it. There is rain predicted for tomorrow, which will be most welcomed if it arrives.

Good morning, IG. I know what you mean about thirsty Wave petunias....they're even thirstier if they're planted in hanging baskets....might as well plant cacti instead.

Sure hope you get that promised rain tomorrow.
