Who knows maybe the girls head traima was caused by the circling boat hitting her after the wave.
Kill switch, great idea and cheap.

It also didnt say if they were wearing life vests.
Im pretty sure by law kids in Tx have to be wearing one when the boat is running.

Bad judgement on his part speeding with a kid in the boat
in the 1st place imo.

Not much good against head trauma.

People might jump on the father for some kind of negligence, but I'm not so sure there's a case for that in the facts of the article. Traveling fast and cutting another wake isn't necessarily negligent. There's also just really bad luck.

I saw the whole thing happen. As a matter of fact, I was the first one to call 911 to report the accident. Here’s what happened.
Two cigarette boats were what appeared to be racing and the water was extremely rough. The second boat hit a huge wake which cracked the hull apparently. The passengers got thrown out when this happened. I am confused by this article because I swore I saw two men and a little girl get thrown; however, the third person was not mentioned. The other cigarette boat turned around and someone pulled the little girl into their boat, but I think she was already dead due to the impact from hitting the water going about 70mph. They pulled the dad on the back of the boat, he was conscious but showed little movement. I still don’t know how he is alive. I called 911 within 20 seconds of the accident and they arrived within 2 minutes. The boat luckily did not hit anyone when it was going in circles. Once they finally contained the boat, it began to sink. This was without a doubt the craziest and most tragic thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Let me know if anyone wants to hear more details.
