Bush wanted a Dem congress to get thus bill thru.
He knew if he could sell out the GOP to the Dem he would get his amnesty bill.
Why did he wait to get rid of Rummy until after the 2006 election ? Why did he keep pushing amnesty bill in campaign stops when he was informed that the amnesty bill was hated by the base? Why did he keep saying that stupid and insulting line “ doing the work American won’t do which the Reagan blue collar voted hated ? To get Dems voted in and get this bill passed.
