No. She is a screw up and should be punished, but she can’t handle it. I’m sure its harrowing for her. Would be harrowing for anyone.

If her name was Perez, you’re right. We’d never heard of her, and she would be serving whatever sentence she was handed.
And yes, it’s obvious she can’t handle it, but that is not an excuse to give her house arrest.

As much as she represents spoiled, privileged trust fund perennial adolescents everywhere, I must admit that I felt a bit of sympathy for her when they carted her off to the slammer. And, I did think that the sentence was too long; however, she never admitted it was her fault and never apologized for her bad behavior which put innocent people at risk.
In fact, she blamed her agent for not telling her she lost her license. She should do a few weeks in stir and then be released. She will now behave.
