You’re right, she doesn’t take it seriously.

But I don’t know if I’d agree with the rest of your post. There are plenty of others who don’t take the laws seriously as well. My general impression is that our judges could care less, unless the media is watching, as it is in the case of Paris Hilton.

I think the justice system is overwhelmed. Too many people in lockup that don't need to be there but because of the inflexibility of some laws, there they are. For others, there is a revolving door. Our courts could use some common sense and an overhaul.

This is from the article that I posted in 304.

She was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on Jan. 15. Officers informed Hilton she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. She then was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on Feb. 27, at which time she was charged with violating probation.

She was told not to drive and did anyway.
