Denver did a fair impersonation of Chicago Wednesday. It was the windy city all over the place as a late spring storm moved into Colorado, bringing high winds to much of the state including the Front Range, and measurable snow to mountain locations.

Gusts of up to 55 miles per hour swept across Denver and the Front Range, kicking up dust and causing difficult driving for high-profile vehicles. The high winds caused some flight cancellations at Denver International Airport.

2 to 4 inches of snow was forecast for some locations.

Snow fell along the Continental Divide and at the Eisenhower Tunnel earlier Wednesday...

The National Weather Services has issued high wind warnings across the Front Range until noon today with 101 mph gusts recorded in the foothills ...

a snow advisory issued by the National Weather Service for the northern and central mountains of western Colorado above 8,000 feet until noon today.

Five to 8 inches of snow could be possible in those areas. Drivers over Vail Pass, Rabbit Ears Pass and in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area were told to expect winter driving conditions.

The winds were ~ 100mph in Boulder last night, a blustery day in Pooh corner!

I started this morning with a cup of coffee in one hand and a machete in the other, I had to hack my way into the back door to let the dogs out.

Its currently snowing to the west, and the radar map looks like snow in Laramie.

Got to love this “climate change” stuff, but hey we’re out of the drought cycle.

Thanks.

Is this new ? You did a nice job with the kite.

It has been very windy, blowing over big trees and trucks, more snow too.
