I agree. The last time I was in Jericho it was a sleepy small village with a general store and some indigs dealing to sell their fruit and olives.
The police and IDF were there but there was no major threat.

Now it is firmly in the hands of the PA and the entire place has gone to crap.
Wanted terrorists reside in the failed casino and it is a crossroads for terrorists trying to enter Israel from Jordan.
Saving Jericho would be a great thing, and a battalion of armour supported by infantry would clean it out wonderfully.
As part of our Judeo-Christian heritage, the land of Joshua and Calev should be free of PA oppression.
