That’s a very cool link, but it’s not a poem, it’s a motorcycle! I’d like to have one of those though, it looks spiffy!
To: Dr. Expresso
It’s a poem to me. LOL It is well done. ;)

The American Eagle, flies so high and so proud. With its wings, spread out above the crowd. This symbol of freedom, for all to see. It represents the greatest nation, that there will ever be.
War bonnets were made, from the feathers of this bird. Indians rode into battle, there war cries to be heard. Yes this mighty Eagle, that we see overhead. Watched as this young country, suffered and bled.
And, just like the Eagle, our country grew strong. We showed, the rest of the world, that we belong. Don't take life for granted, and I'll tell you why. If you set back on your heels, the world will just pass you by.
Take a look at the Eagle, who fights to survive. Look to tomorrow, be glad you're alive. The future is yours, but you must make a stand. I'll be like the Eagle, I'll fight for this land.
This is my home, and it always will be. Just like the Eagle, I'm so glad that we're free. So when you see this Eagle, stand up straight and tall. Be proud of your birth place, yes give this country your all.
Fight for oppression, take the time, to care about others. We all are God's children, we're sisters and brothers. Fight for the Eagle, your country and flag. There is no place that's better, and I don't mean to brag.

Hwody, Lady Jag!
Terrific graphic and poem. Thanks.
How goes the day??
Quiet around here, feels like rain sometime today.
To: Soaring Feather
I have a sleeping problem. Slept 12 hours last night and still tired after a week of sleepy days and long sleeping nights.
How about you? Better than that, I hope.

Well, I have been getting my ZZZZZs in for sure. Have not taken any afternoon naps lately. I think you are feeling the Solstice coming on. Those things affect me like crazy.
Another thing I think hits us is the damned time change thing, it takes me forever to reorient my self.

I’m still gargling your delicious coffee and it might be starting to work.
It’s a quandary because if your hot, black, strong coffee works, I will have to.

Thank you. My day was fairly pleasant and dull. Couldn’t get fired up over anything.

A friend of mine (from Iceland) and I are playing at riddles in poetic form (quatrains = four lines, lines 1 & 2 rhyme, and lines 3&4 rhyme) I thought this might be fun to try here with the wits we have here.
My buddys;
Through narrows ships I navigate.
Now I likewise aviate.
An original model of a jack.
An instrument clearing a railway track.
answer: PILOT
Now for mine;
Under the surface housing men
Or a heading under the heading and again
A shorter version of replacement teacher
or added to merge to go below a feature

Uninspired, could not get fired
so I just retired to the lounge
and found a squirrel after the finch seed
which angered me throughly so
the need to curb my temper
to not let that squirrel have it
with a hammer.
What am I ??
