[history]
June 1, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - Gruff, graying Republican Fred Thompson has a proven track record of tapping into a younger generation - starting with his wife.
The 64-year-old ex-senator wowed Generation X with his movie roles in "The Hunt for Red October" and "Die Hard 2," and he won over his bombshell blonde wife, Jeri Kehn - 24 years his junior.

‘The age difference is not a big deal with an older man/younger woman combo. Also, she isnt 20 or anything, so the spread isnt all that big.’
Many women like older men.

This entire thread is unseemly. What this kind of recreational leering will lead to is the unearthing and discussion of all of Thompson's relationships with various women through the years. And when that happens, the social conservatives who have been bowing before Thompson and waving palm leaves in his direction are going to look very foolish.
It would be better and wiser for Fredheads to stay fixed on political issues.

I don’t like the dress Jeri is wearing. The one that she’s falling out of. And I agree the tan is outre.

I hate to say it, but Dennis Kucinich has the edge over Fred on this playing field.I must strongly disagree. And not just because I dislike Dennis the Menace.

As Johnny Carson once quipped (when emceeing the Oscars; upon retaking the podium after Dolly Parton and another presenter left the podium), “They’re quite a pair, aren’t they?”

This is something about women that confounds me. As a woman, you have to realize that if you marry a man 15-20 years your senior, that you can expect to spend about 20 years as a widow. Not saying that women shouldn't marry older men, if that's what makes them happy, but that sure does seem like a lot to have to live with.
