You said, "Using your logic I assume that you have now forgiven Bill Clinton for all his actions....he did say he was sorry after all."

Having already provided the definitions for hypocrisy and hypocrite (see posts 91 & 99) it appears it is now time to define logic as you used it.

logic
noun

a particular method of reasoning or argumentation:[as in] We were unable to follow his logic.

Actually, it is your logic that appears unfathomable when you compare former president clinton to Dr. Laura when one considers the facts.

clinton
1 - had his attorney unwittingly prepare a knowingly false affidavit, which was introduced during the course of his sworn deposition
2 - had his subordinates repeat his knowingly false statements during both a grand jury investigation and civil litigation

[Thanks to Mark Levine for 1-2-3 from a Justoneminute comment on comparing Libby & Clinton. ]

4 - has never rejected his past behavior or beliefs [to the best of my knowledge]
5 - has not choosen any new values that would indicate a change of heart (Ever hear him speak of the value of abstinance?)
6 - has not choosen a new set of values that would subject himself to a constant search to determine if it's real or if he is a hypocrite [concerning the new values he has not choosen]

And you want to compare this to Dr. Laura? Odd logic indeed when you consider

Dr. Laura
1 - fouled up many many times when she had a very different set of vaules
2 - acknowledged her past foulups many times
3 - talked how the actions of her past were tied to her values of her past
3 - has a new set of values she has put into practice
4 - has many folks constantly looking for new foulups on her part to criticize

To paraphrase The Great One [Mark Levine], "It is absurb to make comparisons between Clinton and Dr. Laura."

Cheers!

The entire question about how Dr. Laura changed her life around was best said by a fellow Freeper.
" I agree that 'thirty or so years ago the woman who became Dr. Laura Schlessinger made some significant errors in judgment.' I did too. I thought that I knew it all. God allowed me to survive long enough to recognize the errors made in my youth and give me time to repent with a thankful heart. Dr. Laura's advice is tough for youth to take. However, if youth heed her righteous advice they will have mature years free of regretful flashbacks."—Freeper ASA.Ranger
