We rented that movie, thinking there'd be revelations into who the actual killer might have been.
Instead we got BUPKIS. Just a crappy (albeit good-looking) period movie.
Brian DiPalma as director should have been our first clue.

Slick, good looking as you said, but if you were expecting new revelations, it must have been a disappointment.
I knew going into it that it was based on Ellroy’s work, so I wasn’t really thinking there would be some new information.
Having read several books on the case, I found it disjointed and not at all that insightful. Sad.
It’s been what, 60 years this year since the murder? I doubt her killer will ever be found.
