Good morning everybody. Good to “see” everybody, I’ve been so busy visiting my in-laws and participating in Memorial Day that I’ve not been able to post much here. But the ATRW’ers are in my thoughts and close to my heart.
Hope everybody had a nice Memorial Day weekend, we did. It’s very nice to be in rural America during this time especially, as the honoring of the veterans and military is still held dear and performed straight from the heart.
We had bad storms here last night but it was worse elsewhere. Looks like there may be more tonight or tomorrow too.
Updated crop report:
Corn here, (much of it dry land) is up but only a few inches. The area has had a lot of moisture, very green. Flooding happening in other areas of the state.
Wheat up and looking good, berries nicely in the heads. Apparently shorter varieties of wheat have been developed as it isn’t as tall as when I was growing up. Makes sense to have less plant energy expended in a tall stalk.
