When we had to put our Korat boy to sleep, that was how it was with the girls...they spent several days looking for him.
I’m sorry for your loss...you did the right thing to not let your dear kitty suffer. They may not have voices to speak, but they do show their love and gratitude.

They do know, but sometimes we don’t see it at first. My little Yorkie heard me say something about Pepper (who we lost a while back) and jerked her head around to look for her. I was so surprised, but I shouldn’t have been.
I’m very sorry for your loss, it will get easier to bear, but you’ll never have another exactly like the one you have lost. They are all individuals and beautifully different.
